Library Bags

My niece's love going to their local library! My sister-in-law likes to keep all the library books in the plastic bag the library gives them so that no books get mixed up and it is easy to return them, well I started making Christmas presents (you heard me right...Christmas) and I made each of my niece's a tote for the library. I only have a picture of Sarah's...it was late and it is hard to remember to take pictures when you are all wrapped up in your cricut!! Iam thinking of adding flowers or something?? If I do I will add new pics! This is a very simple craft all you need is...
Canvas totes
Cricut (or another die cutting machine)
Fabric Scraps
Heat n Bond
Iron

Step 1
cut your fabric into the length of your cricut mat (mine is 6 x 12)
Step 2
Iron on your Heat n Bond to the wrong side of your fabric...very easy just follow the directions on the package
Step 3
place your fabric on the cricut mat and cut out your letters...when I do fabric I slow down my speed by one notch and I make the blade go deeper by one or two notches...I do not have a special fabric blade and I do not have a special fabric mat...it doesnt make a difference!!
Step 4
Remove your letters from your mat and Iron on to your bag!!
Step 5
Take the kiddos to the library!!

Kira's 4th of July Skirt

Last year the old Lakewood Joann's closed and while this was very sad, they had great deals, I pretty much just picked out anything I thought I would ever use...this inclued patterns, fabric, notions, etc. I got a lot of 4th of july fabric (I do believe that it is my favorite holiday) and this year I finally did something with it!! I made a 4th of july skirt for Kira because Jessie was saying that her girls didnt have anything to wear on the 4th! Well that just wasnt acceptible!! So here id my very first attempt @ sewing a skirt without a pattern!!
